Our College Signs MoU with Belarusian State University

On December 16, the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Shandong Cultural Industry Vacational College and Belarusian State University was grandly held in Room 504 of the school's comprehensive building. The signing was conducted via cloud video conference, overcoming the geographical barriers between Qingdao, China and Minsk, Belarus, and ushering in a new chapter of international educational cooperation between the two institutions.

The ceremony was attended by Li Jingping, Chairman of Shandong Cultural Industry Vacational College; Xu Yuguo, Assistant to the President; Qi Denghong, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office (International Education College); and heads of relevant departments. Qi Denghong presided over the event.

Representatives from Belarusian institutions, including Natalia Vladimirovna Manchurova, Dean of the Business School at Belarusian State University; Natalia Nikolaevna Bondarenko, Vice Dean for Ideology and Education; Alexey Vladimirovich Kryvko, Vice Dean for Teaching and Educational Innovation; and Yelena Vyacheslavovna Chyhir, Head of the International Cooperation Department, participated in the event via remote connection.

At the signing ceremony, Chairman Li Jingping delivered a speech. He pointed out that the university has always adhered to the educational philosophy of "establishing itself through culture and serving the country through industry," actively responding to the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening its internationalization efforts. As a world-renowned institution with a century of glorious history, Belarusian State University's profound educational heritage aligns closely with the university's development path of "quality-oriented education and open schooling." The discussed projects, such as faculty-student exchanges, teachers pursuing master's degrees abroad, students advancing to undergraduate programs, and combined undergraduate-master's programs, are key measures for the university to strengthen faculty development and broaden students' growth pathways. These initiatives will undoubtedly promote the two-way flow of high-quality educational resources and lay a solid foundation for cultivating versatile talents.

Xu Yuguo, assistant to the president, provided a detailed introduction to the school's development profile. He mentioned that Shandong Cultural Industry Vacational College is an applied higher vocational college dedicated to cultivating high-quality technical and skilled talents. It has established a professional cluster layout centered on digital media, art design, information technology, intelligent manufacturing, and modern services. Students have repeatedly won honors in national and world-class competitions such as the BRICS Skills Competition and the China Robot and Artificial Intelligence Competition. Regarding future cooperation between the two schools, Xu Yuguo expressed hopes for deeper collaboration in the following areas: first, establishing a regular teacher-student exchange mechanism to conduct faculty visits and student exchange programs; second, building a long-term channel for veteran teachers to pursue advanced degrees at Belarusian State University; third, facilitating students' academic advancement by promoting the "undergraduate-master's consecutive" joint training model; and fourth, planning a group visit to Belarusian State University to deepen practical cooperation.

Ms.Natalia Vladimirovna Manchurova, Dean of the Business School at Belarusian State University, expressed strong approval and high expectations for the collaboration between the two institutions. She commended Shandong Cultural Industry Vocational College for its remarkable achievements in talent cultivation and international education, and expressed hope that this signing would serve as a starting point to fully leverage the strengths of both parties. She called for in-depth cooperation in areas such as faculty-student exchanges, academic research, and talent development to achieve mutual benefits and win-win outcomes. Other foreign representatives also spoke successively, sharing their specific ideas and suggestions for the cooperation project.
